Information on the Rena

Arctic Grayling

Norway is known for some of the best Arctic Grayling fishing in the world, and here on the Rena, you will experience first hand why that is. The Grayling here get very large due to the abundance of food available year round on this river so if you are looking for that trophy Grayling, look no further.

Brown Trout

The Rena also holds a healthy population of Brown Trout. These trout have a very unique copper and gold color and can be extremely fun to catch given how aggressive they are. Anglers use a variety of fishing methods ranging from streamers, nyphying, and dryflies to attract these fish and once you hook one, get ready for a fight.

What’s Hatching?

The Rena produces an incredible amount of aquatic insect diversity resulting in some truly amazing hatches. While anglers from around the world travel here specifically for the Mayfly Hatch, you will also find an abundance of Stoneflies, Baetis, Midges and a large variety of Caddis from May to early November.
